On the 15th Nov 2023, Matpro attended a Focused Group Engagement Session Training Quality Assurance (TQA). This facilitation workshop was the first of its kind organized by HRD Corp, initiated by the Chief Executive of HRD Corp, Datuk Wira Shahul. It was attended by Training Providers and Trainers. MATPRO was represented by Dr Maria Rufina – Deputy President, Dr. Vizayer- Vice President, Ms. Andal- Secretary General and Mr. Lawrence- Vice President (Membership).

n the opening address, En. Soffian, Chief Programmes Officer said that to achieve a 35% skilled workforce, we also need to improve and strengthen not only HRD Policies but also other four aspects namely the Training Providers’ capacity, the Trainer’s quality and capacity, The Learning Outcome’s effectiveness and also quality certifications. The facilitation workshop focused more on brainstorming and drawing on the stakeholders’ thoughts, concerns, and ideas. This will be used to formulate a well-thought-out Training Quality Assurance framework, which will be launched in early year 2024.MATPRO commends HRD Corp’s effort on this. It is utmost necessary if we want to raise the standards of Training Industry and practices in Malaysia.
