PROFESSOR DR. ABDUL KABUR BIN MOHAMED IBRAHIM
Professor Dr. Abdul Kabur bin Mohamed Ibrahim is the founder of MATPRO. He served as the President of MATPRO for 12 years, ever since its inception in 2013 until 2025. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Kabur positioned MATPRO as a credible, unified voice for training providers across Malaysia. Under his leadership, the association earned national recognition for representing industry interests in policy dialogues with HRD Corp, MATRADE, MOHR, and other government stakeholders. He now serves as the Advisor of MATPR , continuing to be the driving force behind the association’s long-term vision.
Dr. Kabur’s founded and leads the Malaysian Export Academy, where he led over 20 export acceleration programs globally, and played a central role in developing Malaysian training exports. His academic leadership includes serving as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Genovasi University College and Chairing GTRADE21. Dr. Kabur’s service to the nation was formally recognized with the award of Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) in 1992. He is also a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Business Administration, and was conferred the “Excellent Chairman” Award under the 1Malaysia Enterprise Award 2012.
