On 2nd Aug 2023, MATPRO committee met with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) for the first time, to explore stronger collaboration between training providers and the manufacturing sector. The discussion focused on workforce upskilling, reskilling, and aligning training programs with industry needs, especially in adopting technology and preparing for future-ready skills. The engagement was highly beneficial as it opened doors for joint initiatives, closer cooperation on capacity-building, and better alignment of training with Malaysia’s industrial growth agenda. This marks an important step in strengthening MATPRO’s role as a partner in driving national human capital development.
